COLUMBIA — MU officials planned to hold a mock emergency drill Monday at the Research Reactor Center.

The drill was to involve the Columbia fire and police departments, University Hospital and other emergency responders. The federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission requires such practice drills every two years.

The reactor is located on Providence Road south of Memorial Stadium. It is the country's largest campus-based research reactor.
