New Lutheran museum opens in Kirkwood

KIRKWOOD — A new museum in suburban St. Louis traces the history of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

The museum was to open Monday at the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod's International Center in Kirkwood.

Exhibits explain the origins of the Lutheran church in Europe, the founding of the Missouri Synod and how the church has grown over the centuries.

The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod has 2.4 million baptized members.
