ST. LOUIS — Two documentary filmmakers from St. Louis County are being treated for burns and injuries after a plane crash in Kenya that killed the pilot.

The crash happened Saturday in Nairobi in front of a three-story apartment building, according to Capital News, an African news outlet.

The filmmakers, 25-year-old Dan Parris of Chesterfield and 26-year-old Rob Lehr of Ballwin, were treated at a hospital. They were in Kenya filming "Give a Damn," a documentary about poverty in Africa.

Lehr posted on his Twitter account that the pilot was killed. The plane blew up shortly after the crash.
