Missouri Restaurant Association offers incentives for September

Tuesday, August 4, 2009 | 11:28 a.m. CDT

JEFFERSON CITY — There are government stimulus plans for buying cars and homes. Now comes a private-sector stimulus for dining out.

The Missouri Restaurant Association is launching a program that will provide $25 gift certificates for people who accumulate at least $200 of restaurant expenses in September.

The program is limited to the first 1,000 people to send in receipts. The association said Gov. Jay Nixon has proclaimed September as "Dine Out Missouri Month."

So far, more than 100 restaurants around Missouri have signed up to participate in the promotion. A list can be found at DineOutMO.com.
