On the first day of Ramadan, Kisha Houston prays alone during the sunset hour in a room reserved for women at the Islamic Center of Central Missouri on Saturday. It is Houston's second Ramadan.
Muslims came to the Islamic Center of Central Missouri to pray and break fast on the first day of Ramadan. Observers fast from sunrise to sunset during the Muslim holy month.

The men broke the first day of Ramadan fasting together by eating dates and samosa after sunset. During the month of Ramadan observers fast from sunrise to sunset.
