ST. LOUIS — St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley will announce whether he plans to support recent legislation on an indoor smoking ban.

Earlier this week, the St. Louis County Council approved a bill that would ban smoking in public places with the exception of casino gaming floors and businesses with 75 percent of their sales coming from alcohol.

If Dooley approves the bill, the issue will be put on the November ballot.

Dooley's decision is expected Friday.
