O'FALLON — An O'Fallon man who checked his lottery ticket at a grocery store first thought he'd won $4,000.

He looked again and realized he hadactually won $4.4 million.

The Missouri Lottery said Tuesday that Jason and Heather McCarty won the money on Sunday. Jason McCarty checked his two tickets at a Shop 'n Save in O'Fallon. He woke his napping wife with a phone call to tell her the good news.

The parents of two, with another baby on the way, plan to move into a bigger house, help out family members, buy a minivan and get debt free.
