JACKSON — Bargain hunters can get their fill in southeast Missouri through Saturday during the event known as the "61-mile yard sale."

Yard sales are taking place from Jackson to Bloomsdale, along a roughly 61-mile stretch of U.S. 61.

The Southeast Missourian reports that more than 300 yard sales were held last year along the route.

Organizers say there's no set time for individual sales, but many begin around 7 a.m.

Scott City is also hosting an event called the City-Wide Sale.
