Columbia College soccer team nets second shutout of year

The Columbia College soccer team beat Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University 2-0 on Friday in Hastings, Neb. for its second shutout of the season.

Yudai Yamaguchi scored in the 60th minute off an assist from Jordan Cox. Columbia College's second goal came in the 64th minute on a free kick goal by Tim Tevlin from Nikola Velickovic that initially started with Lloyd Jacobs.

Ken Searles recorded the shutout in goal for the Cougars with two saves.

The Cougars (4-1) play St. Ambrose (Iowa) University at 5:15 p.m. Saturday in Hastings.
