Columbia College volleyball team takes tournament title

The Columbia College volleyball team remained undefeated after winning Saturday's Graceland University Tournament.

The Cougars beat Jamestown College 30-28, 25-13, 20-25, 28-26 in the morning match to advance to the championship match, where they dispatched Lindenwood 25-19, 25-22, 25-12.

Cate Eckhardt, a transfer from the University of Albany, led the Cougars in kills for both matches with 15 in the first and 14 in the second.

The Cougars are 11-0 this season and are ranked fourth overall in the NAIA.  They play Missouri Baptist University next Tuesday in Columbia.
