Rock Bridge golfers third at tournament

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge girls golf team placed third Monday in the Smith-Cotton Tournament at Smith-Cotton Country Club in Sedalia.

The Bruins, who shot a 350, placed behind Lee's Summit North (331) and Notre Dame de Sion (337) at the 18-team event.

Two Rock Bridge golfers scored in the top 10. Kayla Burri shot an 80 for fifth place, and Meghan Mueller shot an 82 for seventh.

The Bruins next match is on Sept. 23 at the William Woods Tournament.
