VALLEY PARK — More than 1,000 people have outstanding warrants in each of the St. Louis County towns of Fenton and Valley Park. For one day only, they can turn themselves in and resolve their pending cases.

Both towns are offering a day of amnesty on Saturday. The court clerk's offices will be open to handle cases from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those voluntarily surrendering will not be arrested for their outstanding warrants, and the warrant fees will be waived.

Police in both towns said after the day of amnesty, they will begin an intense effort to serve remaining outstanding warrants.
