Rock Bridge tennis team wins Liberty tournament.

The Rock Bridge girls tennis team won the eight-team Liberty tournament on Saturday. 

After breezing by Lee Summit West 7-2 in the first round, Rock Bridge came from behind in the semifinals. Against Park Hill, the Bruins trailed 2-1 after doubles play but won five of six singles matches to win 6-3. 

In the championship round against the host Blue Jays, Rock Bridge won two of three doubles matches and split the singles matches to win 5-4. Abby Kayser won her singles match to clinch the win, putting the Bruins up 5-3. 

The tournament win improved the Bruins to 14-0.  They are set to play at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Marshall.
