Falling tree branch causes power outage

COLUMBIA — A tree branch fell on an electric line near Glenwood Avenue and Broadway causing a power outage at around 8 p.m. Sunday, said Water and Light Communications Specialist Connie Kacprowicz.

A crew was sent to repair the line and replace the fuse. Power was restored between 10:30 and 10:45 p.m. The power outage affected 187 customers in the surrounding area.
