Suspect arrested in Jefferson City killings

JEFFERSON CITY — Police in Oklahoma have arrested a suspect in the killing of a man and woman found shot in their Jefferson City, Mo., home.

Jefferson City Police Capt. Michael Smith said 54-year-old David Russell Hosier was arrested Monday near Muskogee, Okla., southeast of Tulsa. Hosier's arrest came about seven hours after police discovered two bodies in an apartment less than a mile from the Missouri Capitol.

The victims' names have not been released, pending notification of their families.

Smith says Hosier is a convicted felon, and police found ammunition in his residence. Hosier lived directly behind the victims' apartment.
