CLAYTON — Nearly 500 confirmed cases of the flu have been reported already this season in St. Louis County, and officials say many of those cases are presumed to be the H1N1 virus.

The emergency room at St. Louis Children's Hospital has been so busy, in large part because of the flu, that two tents were set up this week in a parking garage to help handle all the patients.

Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center also is seeing many sick children. KTVI-TV in St. Louis reports Cardinal Glennon is seeing about double the number of kids with flu-like symptoms.
