Missouri women runners fourth in Louisville

Even though the Missouri women's cross country team held out its top two runners, the Tigers finished fourth Saturday at the Louisville Cross Country Classic.

Tigers freshman Bailey Belvis finished eighth in the 5K in 17:34.63, and senior Emily Baker finished 22nd in a personal best 8:07.69. Sophomore Laura Roxberg also finished in the top-50 in 35th in 18:17.58.

Purdue won, followed by Kentucky and Louisville.

The Tigers will compete next on Oct. 17. at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Classic in Fayetteville, Ark.
