LINCOLN — Some Nebraska fans are anxious after Nebraska coach Bo Pelini indicated on his Twitter account that he's going to miss Thursday night's game at Missouri because of the flu.

About 10 a.m. Wednesday, Pelini tweeted: "Got the flu so I am gonna sit this one out along with a bunch of other guys!!!!!"

Nebraska spokesman Keith Mann said he hadn't spoken with Pelini, but he assumes the coach is joking.

Pelini apparently is playing off reporters' repeated questions Tuesday about rumors of a flu bug running through the team. Starting running back Roy Helu Jr. missed practice because he wasn't feeling well, but Pelini said he expected him to play against Missouri.
