COLUMBIA — Professional skateboarder Tony Hawk will appear at the skate park in Columbia Cosmopolitan Recreation Area on Saturday. Hawk and his skate team will give skateboarding demonstrations from 2 - 4 p.m., said Tammy Miller, spokeswoman for Columbia Parks and Recreation Department. The event is free and open to the public. Hawk, 41, has been a professional skateboarder since 1982. His 1999 video game,"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater," has spawned a slew of popular video games.
