Columbia College volleyball team rolls past Benedictine

The Columbia College women's volleyball team improved to 24-2 overall with a victory against Benedictine (Kan.) College on Thursday night in Atchison, Kan.

Columbia College, which is ranked No. 7 in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll, defeated the Ravens 25-20, 25-18 and 25-17. The loss drops Benedictine to 22-6 overall.

The Cougars had 47 kills. Maria Omondi had 14 of those to go along with eight blocks. Monica Santos had 13 of the Cougars' 20 digs, and Paula Ferreira tallied 31 assists.

Columbia College plays American Midwest Conference opponent Williams Baptist (Ark.) College in a double header at noon and 2 p.m. Saturday in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
