JEFFERSON CITY— Police have arrested a Kansas City man on a murder charge for a mid-Missouri home robbery in which a man who entered the home was shot to death.

Terry White was arrested late Tuesday in Kansas City. White had been one of two people identified as suspects in the robbery who was not in custody. A Cole County grand jury has indicted White on charges of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

Prosecutors say eight people tried to rob a mobile home in Jefferson City on Oct. 5 because they believed $40,000 was there. A man inside the home shot 19-year-old Lamar Gardner of Kansas City, and the robbers left with $1,000.
