ST. LOUIS— The Humane Society of Missouri says it has an urgent need for supplies for more than 150 pit bull puppies in its care as a result of a multi-state dogfighting raid.

Fifty puppies were among the more than 400 dogs seized in the raid July 8. Meanwhile, an additional 100 or so have been born since then to other dogs who were rescued in the raid.

How you can help

Donations of rope toys, heavy rubber brings, Kong® toys, peanut butter and other toys to keep the puppies active are urgently requested by the Humane Society. Monetary donations may also be made by calling 314-951-1542.

Donations may be dropped off anytime at:
Humane Society of Missouri Headquarters Adoption Center
1201 Macklind Avenue
St. Louis, MO 63110

The St. Louis-based Humane Society says it desperately needs toys, peanut butter and other items needed for the active puppies. It is also accepting monetary donations.
