UPDATE: Eleven more charges filed in Lafayette County sex-crime case

LEXINGTON — Prosecutors in western Missouri have filed additional charges against three of the men accused of abusing young relatives in their family.

The charges filed Thursday in Lafayette County accuse Burrell Mohler Sr. and his sons, Jared Mohler and Burrell Mohler Jr., of abusing a child in their family. The 11 new charges, which stem from about 1986, include allegations of rape and bestiality.

Burrell Mohler, four of his adult sons and his brother are jailed on earlier charges of raping and molesting young relatives over roughly a decade beginning in the mid-1980s. Other accusations include impregnating at least two young girls and forcing one to have an abortion when she was 11.
