Missouri men's basketball rolls over Oregon

COLUMBIA - Missouri's men's basketball team beat Oregon 106-69 Saturday afternoon in front of 9,994 at Mizzou Arena. The game was a part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series. Almost exactly a year ago, Missouri blew out California 93-66 in the series.

The game was the Tigers' first at home in 11 days after playing three away from Columbia, their longest stretch of road games this season.

Missouri hit nine three-pointers in the first half and made 60 percent of it field goals to jump to a 53-24 halftime lead.

The Tigers started the second half cold and called three timeouts in the first two-and-a-half minutes of the half. But with about 12 minutes left, they started to move the ball like they did in the first half - when they had 14 assists - and the closest Oregon got was 22.

Marcus Denmon and Zaire Taylor each made four three's and led Missouri with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Missouri had 28 assists, more than 11 above its season average.
