Missouri's two ski areas open Saturday

ST. LOUIS — Two ski areas are set to open Saturday on both sides of the state.

Marketers say Hidden Valley Ski Area in Wildwood, outside St. Louis, and Snow Creek Ski Area in Weston, north of Kansas City, are set to open at 9 a.m. Saturday. Hidden Valley's opening is a week ahead of schedule.

They say the two have been taking advantage of cold temperatures this past week to make snow.

Both rely almost entirely on machine-made snow.
