COLUMBIA — Missouri sophomore Jan Konarzewski has been named Big 12 Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week after an impressive performance at the Mizzou Invite two weeks ago.

Konarzewski won the 100- and 200-meter backstroke races and was a part of the winning 400 and 200 medley relays. Konarzewski also set a school record split in the 400 medley relay and set a meet record in the 100 backstroke.

The Missouri men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will resume competition in a dual against Missouri S&T on Jan. 9 at the Mizzou Aquatics Center. The women's team was ranked No. 25 in the latest CSCAA/CollegeSwimming.com poll, with the men's team three spots out of the top-25.
