SEDALIA — Arrest warrants were served on 22 mid-Missouri residents in drug sweep by local and state officials.

The Moberly Police Department said arrest warrants also were served Thursday to 12 people already in prison.

The Sedalia Democrat reported that the arrests were the result of a two-year undercover investigation and involved the sale and distribution of controlled substances.

Those arrested or served warrants while in custody were from Boone County, Moberly, Clark, Salisbury, Macon, Armstrong and Sedalia.
