The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the investigation began around 8:35 a.m., after a man in his 50s was found fatally shot in an apartment building. His name was not immediately released. Police believe the killing was drug-related.

The next discovery occurred around 10:45 a.m., when 35-year-old Mackenzie House was found shot to death inside a vehicle. After being shot, House drove a short distance before hitting a curb and stopping.

The last shooting occurred around 7:15 p.m. when someone hopped out of a vehicle, began firing shots and chased four people toward an alley. Fifteen-year-old Jerome Triplett was shot in the head and died about four hours later.
