The Voluntary Action Center is moving from its location at Providence Road to a new facility at 403A Vandiver Drive.

The organization, which coordinates volunteers to provide resources and assistance to low-income residents, will continue to serve the disadvantaged from its new location, said Ron Schmidt, a social services specialist. He added that the larger space will help make the agency more efficient and better able to provide resources to others.

The office will close at noon on Friday and reopen at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The center will keep its telephone and fax numbers.
