Second half run lifts Columbia College women

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College women's basketball team jumped out early, but didn't take control until the second half of Thursday's game, beating McKendree University 83-59 win.

No. 8 Columbia College (15-1, 3-0 AMC) used a 10-2 run at the start of the second half to put the game away. 

Rachel Oswald led the way with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Veronica Smith added 19 points.

The Cougars' bench outscored McKendree’s bench 28-8.
