COLUMBIA — Motorists should expect a sobriety checkpoint in Boone County sometime before Sunday, according to a Boone County Sheriff's Department press release.

The checkpoint will begin during the late evening of the determined day and will end during the early morning hours of the following day.

It will be conducted by nine officers, Sgt. Brian Leer said. Law-abiding motorists should expect minimum delays if they encounter the checkpoint.
