Body of man missing for five days found in Macon County

MACON — The body of a 74-year-old mid-Missouri man missing for five days has been found.

The Hannibal Courier-Post reported that Darrell Allen's body was discovered Sunday afternoon along a road in Macon County. Allen was from rural Macon.

Allen's pickup truck was found later by a Missouri State Highway Patrol aircraft.The truck was stuck in mud about one mile from where the body was found.

An autopsy is planned, but authorities do not suspect foul play. A cause of death has not been determined.
