COLUMBIA — Three people were assaulted and tied up late Tuesday night during a home invasion, according to a news release.
The Boone County Sheriff's Department responded to a burglary call at 11:20 p.m at Woodstock Estates Trailer Court. According to the news release, four people with their faces covered and dressed in dark clothing forced their way into the mobile home. The victims told deputies at least two of the assailants had guns.
According to the news release, two of the victims told deputies that the suspects assaulted them and tied them up. A third person who came into the house during the incident was also assaulted and bound.
All three victims were injured, though not seriously, according to the release. Two refused medical attention; the third was treated and released from a local hospital. No property was taken.
No one was available at the Boone County Sheriff's Department to provide more information about the incident.
