COLUMBIA – Snow and rain is expected to hit parts of Missouri and Illinois this weekend.

The mixture is expected Thursday night. The National Weather Service expects the storm will extend into Saturday morning. Two to four total inches of snow could accumulate, mostly north of Interstate 70, with lesser amounts gathering further south.

Predicted snowfall amounts could be modified significantly over the next few days depending on temperature changes, according to a multimedia briefing from the National Weather Service.
