Ashcroft and Bond to speak at GOP's Lincoln Days event

ST. CHARLES— Former Gov. John Ashcroft will be in St. Charles later this month to address the Missouri Republican Party's annual Lincoln Days gathering.

Lincoln Days will take place Feb. 26-28 in St. Charles. Ashcroft, who is also a former U.S. senator and former U.S. attorney general, is scheduled to speak at a banquet Feb. 27.

Retiring U.S. Sen. Kit Bond will be honored at the banquet for his 24 years in office.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is the featured speaker on the opening day of the gathering.

U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee will be the keynote speaker Feb. 27 at a luncheon put on by the Missouri Federation of Republican Women.
