COLUMBIA — A head-on collision south of Hallsville on Route B is one of at least five accidents that occurred on Friday morning's snowy commute, said Sgt. Tim Tinnin of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Two people were extricated, said Gale Blomenkamp, division chief of the Boone County Fire Protection District. Both were taken to Boone Hospital Center. Their conditions were not immediately available, Tinnin said.
