Columbia Parks and Recreation starts poetry society

Who: Parks and Recreation "Reflections" Poetry Society

What: Meeting to write, critique and discuss each others' poetry. Members can read or perform their poetry during poetry jam sessions.

When: 6 to 7 p.m. first and third Wednesday of each month.

Where: Armory Sports Center, 701 E. Ash St.

Why: To share and improve work and meet other people with similar interests.

If you are interested in joining and taking part in shaping this new community program, come Wednesday.
