Despite turnovers, Columbia College women's basketball beat Missouri Baptist

Rachel Oswald picked up a double-double to lead Columbia College to a 85-53 win over Missouri Baptist University Thursday in St. Louis.

Oswald scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the Cougars to their third straight win. The Cougars now post a 25-3 overall record and 13-1 in American Midwest Conference play. 


Cougars play Harris-Stowe State University

WHEN: Thursday Feb. 25

WHERE: Southwell Complex, Columbia

TIME: 5:30 p.m.

Janita Session and Whitney Widaman each scored 15 points.   Kirsti Wilkerson scored 11 points for the Cougars, who are ranked Nos. 10 in the NAIA.

The Cougars and Spartans combined for 45 turnovers in the game.

Columbia will play their last regular season home game on Thursday Feb. 25 when they host Harris Stowe State University.  Before that game, seniors Oswald, Widaman, Whitney Davis and Veronica Smith will be honored.
