BRANSON— Branson Airport plans to share some big news next week.

The Springfield News-Leader reported that the airport will announce an air carrier that will provide five new nonstop destinations.

The announcement is planned for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the airport.

The airport is less than a year old and is located south of Branson. It provides a more direct route for the 8 million people who visit the southwest Missouri entertainment mecca each year.
