INTERACTIVE GRAPHIC | The Columbia and Boone County Planning commissions will hold the second of three public meetings Tuesday to discuss the future of a 21-square-mile area east of Columbia.

Several road projects, including a planned extension of Stadium Boulevard, are likely to spark significant development over the next decade.

To prepare for growth, city and county officials have begun work on the East Columbia Area Plan — a document that will combine community input with a environmental and infrastructure data to inform future planning decisions.
