Census Bureau seeks Missouri workers

COLUMBIA — The U.S. Census Bureau has begun the process of hiring about 5,000
temporary workers in Missouri from now until July 2010.
Interested applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years or
older, have a valid Social Security number and be available to work 20 to 40
hours per week. Every census taker must be able to speak English, but bilingual
speakers are also needed. The application process includes a general
competency test and a background check.
