Monday, March 1, 2010 | 10:34 a.m. CST

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis police are searching for the person who stole a car with a 15-month-old child in the back seat.

The car was found about 20 minutes later with the child still in the car and OK.

Police said a man parked his car outside the Parkway Hotel just after midnight Monday. KMOV-TV reported that while he went inside to check in, he left the keys in the car, and the girl in the back seat. Someone then stole the car.

The father was concerned because the child has cystic fibrosis. Police said the father is not expected to face charges.
