MU tennis club qualifies for national tournament

The MU tennis club became one of three teams in the USTA Missouri Valley section to qualify for the Tennis on Campus National Championships, which take place April 15-17 in Surprise, Ariz.

MU placed second Sunday among 16 teams representing 15 schools from across the five-state Missouri Valley section.

MU lost 26-22 to St. Louis University in the final match, while Iowa State clinched the third-place spot with their 27-20 victory of Washington University.
