COLUMBIA — Saturday morning, a 13 year old found a human skeleton in a wooded area west of Roger I. Wilson Memorial Drive. The Columbia Police Department was called at approximately 10:30 a.m. Police secured the area and took evidence at the scene. Police say that the skeleton had been in the area for months before being found. The unidentified skeleton, which police believe is that of an adult, was taken to the Boone County Medical Examiner's Office. No cause of death has been determined. The investigation will resume on Monday.
