COLUMBIA — A man told police his wallet and cell phone were taken early Sunday morning near the northeast corner of MU's Conley Avenue Garage.

After taking the items, the two suspects ran south down Sixth Street turning west onto Stewart Road, according to an MU Police news release.

A white sedan was also seen speeding north on Sixth Street and turning onto Stewart Road. The perpetrators were not seen getting into the vehicle, but the victim believed the sedan was involved with the incident, the release said.

The perpetrators wore black masks over their faces and carried a silver semi-automatic handgun. One wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and the other a black, hooded sweatshirt.

People with information about the robbery can contact Detective Michael Laughlin at 573-884-2605 or CrimeStoppers at 573-875-8477.
