Paul Love, 39, works as a network administrator for the automobile records company Carfax in Columbia. Love is unmarried and has a dog named Will. Love says he was inspired to run for mayor after a murder occurred in 2009 near his home in north Columbia. He favors greater fiscal discipline and an increased focus on public safety.
