COLUMBIA — The support group Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests plans to hold a sidewalk vigil in Columbia in response to allegations that the pope failed to adequately punish a priest who was accused of sexually abusing children.
It is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Sunday in front of MU's Newman Center at 701 Maryland Ave.
Those at the vigil will be holding signs, candles, and childhood photos, according to a press release. It is part of a nationwide protest by the survivors network.
