Voters Guide: Columbia Mayor

March 14, 2010 | 9:27 p.m. CDT

For the first time in 15 years, Darwin Hindman won't be the mayor of Columbia, and for the first time since the mid-1980s, the city budget is down from the year before.

Six candidates are running for the seat being left open by Hindman: Sid Sullivan, Jerry Wade, Sal Nuccio, Paul Love, Sean O'Day and Robert McDavid.  At forums held around Columbia, the candidates have answered questions about the economy and job creation, public safety, the balance of power in city government and development. The election is April 6.
