Clerk shot, killed at Kansas City convenience store

KANSAS CITY — Kansas City police are seeking information on three people who were inside a convenience store when the clerk was fatally shot during a robbery.

The clerk has been identified as 35-year-old Gurpreet Singh of Kansas City.

Police were called to the 7-Eleven shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a shooting. The clerk was still alive and told officers he had been shot after giving money to the robber.

The clerk died later at a hospital.

Surveillance video captured images of a man described as the suspect and a man and woman who were also in the store.
