LETTER: Tracy Greever-Rice would get my vote

Friday, March 19, 2010 | 1:08 p.m. CDT; updated 12:48 p.m. CDT, Friday, March 26, 2010

If I lived in a Fourth Ward neighborhood, I would vote for Tracy Greever-Rice to be my City Councilperson. But since I live in North Central Columbia in the First Ward, all I can do is encourage others to vote for Tracy.

I want Tracy on the City Council because she is a friend to neighborhoods. She has worked with our neighborhood since 1993. She introduced the North Central Columbia Neighborhood Association to neighborhood planning and helped us develop models for working with developers to arrive at win-win solutions. Tracy is progressive in her thinking and always open to new strategies for improving the vitality of neighborhoods.

Tracy has the skills to empower all segments of the community to be successful. She also has the will to require all segments to be accountable to each other.

Please vote for Tracy Greever-Rice for Fourth Ward City Council.

I certainly agree about Tracy Greever-Rice. When the Sunset Lane community was going through attempts to re-zone part of it commercial this year, Greever-Rice came to all our meetings and used her considerable intelligence, experience and common sense to help us. I was utterly impressed and thought at the time that I would truly love to have her represent us. I hope she wins...
